A South Coast family holiday; Eleanor Pendleton’s Wonderlust Escapes Itinerary
With local travel the norm nowadays, it’s time to start exploring more of our own backyard; Australia!
If you’ve got a little one (or little one’s!) just like Eleanor, you’ll love the itinerary we created for her family and friends because it’s family-friendly, relaxing and only 2.5 hours from Sydney.
Grab a cuppa tea and get ready to find out all the juicy details of Eleanor’s November South Coast family holiday in 2020.
She stayed at; Booderee Villas, Callala Bay
We organised a two-night stay at Booderee Villas for Eleanor, her family and friends.
It has three bedrooms, so it’s perfect for a small group of friends or a family getaway. The property owner goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is a memorable one; making it the perfect accommodation for your South Coast family holiday.
Not only are you likely to wake up to cute kangaroos on your front lawn as you enjoy your morning coffee, but you’re also close to the famous white sands of Callala Bay and the beach.
Architecturally designed, spacious, and the perfect location to explore the surrounding white sands that the South Coast is known for, Booderee Villas is a wonderful option for those looking to unwind, while enjoying time with family and friends.
Before your arrival, stop by the Nowra Farmer’s, Fresh Fish & Meat Market, just 25 minutes from Booderee Villas, and stock up on delicious, fresh produce to cook up a storm on your first night’s stay.
When you arrive, enjoy the spacious feeling of their open-plan living space and a great outdoor area to host a barbecue with friends. Booderee Villa’s are also private and secluded, whilst being a short drive away from all of the action!
She was pampered by; Team Spa Mobile Day Spa Therapies
We organised a pampering sesh in the afternoon upon arrival for the two mama’s, while the men were on baby duty!
We chose a mobile-spa service so they could come to El’s accommodation. Who said a spa sesh couldn’t be baby-friendly?
A proud Li’Tiya Spa Partner, Team Spa began their journey in 2001 intending to nourish their client’s mind, body and spirit in the comfort of their home.
A perfect addition to your South Coast family holiday, Team Spa therapists are well-versed in treating all guests from head-to-toe with a combination of traditional Aboriginal techniques designed to re-align, balance and nurture.
Experience their Li’Tya Kodo Massage which uses a combination of pressure points and spiralling movements, helping to melt your tension away.
To top it off, include their Li’Tiya Mirri facial; which combines a nourishing blend of Lillypilly, Tasmanian kelp and macadamia, helping to nourish and pamper the skin.
She dined at; The Butter Factory Restaurant
We organised a 5:00 pm dinner reservation on a Saturday night to cater for the little one’s bedtimes.
If you’re a foodie that loves farm-to-table and seasonal produce in a countryside setting, The Butter Factory is a must-visit on your South Coast family holiday.
Situated in the heart of the dairy country in a historic, rustic-chic 1889 building; The Butter Factory features colonial brickwork, thick timber beams, open ceilings and the comfort of soul-warming food.
Husband and wife duo; Andrew and Maria grow their own vegetables and flowers which are a staple item in their menu and if it isn’t from their garden, they support local farmers and growers by sourcing local ingredients.
Expect the aroma of warm baked bread, a seasonal menu with dishes from the land, sea and garden and a feeling of being taken care of; because that’s what you’ll experience the moment you arrive.
She enjoyed platters from; Mirritya Mundya-Indigenous Food Journeys
Booderee Villas sourced delicious hampers from Mirritya Mundya to provide Eleanor with a foodie-experience during her stay.
We recommend ordering a platter and taking it to Honeymoon Bay to enjoy with family and friends during your South Coast family holiday!
The Indigenous-inspired grazing platters of dreams, Mirritya Mundya have a collection of gourmet food journeys to suit many tastes.
A fantastic choice for a picnic by the beach, Mirritya Mundya sources ingredients from the land to deliver an Indigenous-twist, infused into all of their platters and boxes.
Choose from a selection from their Native Woodfired Breads, with the likes of Warrigal Green Pesto & Bush Tomato; all created from scratch with home-made dough and a touch of native-flavoured Bodalla Dairy Shed cheese.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, their Sweet Box option provides a bountiful of mouth-watering goodies that you’ll want to get your hands on, no doubt.
From wattleseed brownies, native protein balls and Lilli Pilli jam-drop biscuits to Desert Lime or Chocolate Rosella/Davidson Plum tarts.
If you’re entertaining friends, family and loved ones, why not opt-in for one of their bountiful platters like their Satisfying Share option. Feast your eyes on a collection of cured meats, native-flavoured cheeses, dips, alongside crackers, seasonal fruits and nuts- then taste them immediately!
